Quarterback rating
The quarterback rating (abbreviated as QBR) is a calculated number that measures the performance of a quarterback's passing efficiency. The Web Enabled Statware Football application uses the standard NCAA formula for calculating quarterback rating, which is based on the following statistics for the quarterback:
- Passing attempts, abbreviated below as A
- Completion percentage (passing completions divided by passing attempts), abbreviated below as C
- Yards per attempt (passing yards divided by passing attempts), abbreviated below as Y
- Touchdown percentage (passing touchdowns divided by passing attempts), abbreviated below as T
- Interception percentage (passing interceptions divided by passing attempts), abbreviated below as I
Once you have these 4 calculated values, the final quarterback rating is calculated by the following formula:
